We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (John 20:30-31), that the Bible is inspired of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17), we believe that Jesus Christ died upon the cross and rose again the third day (John 19-20), and that Christ will return to take His kingdom home to God (1 Corinthians 15:24).
To put it simply, the church of Christ is seeking to be the same church one reads about in the New Testament.
Everyone is welcome to join us for service or Bible Study. We worship together as God’s children (Acts 10:34-35). We believe that God’s Word must authorize all that is done in Christian worship (Colossians 3:17, Revelation 22:18-19), thus we strictly follow follow the New Testament.
Our Sunday services generally includes:
A brief welcome and a prayer from one of our elders
Song leader leads the congregation through acapella singing throughout the service
Scripture is read from the New King James Version of the Bible
The Lord’s supper is observed by partaking of unleavened bread and fruit of the vine (1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
Separate and apart from the Lord’s Supper, the weekly contribution is collected as an act of worship (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)
Preacher delivers a sermon from the Bible. All are encouraged to open their Bibles and follow along as he leads the study (2 Timothy 2:15)
The Lord’s invitation is offered (Matthew 11:28-30) for any who wants to become a Christian, needs prayers from the church or needs to repent and ask for forgiveness. There is no coercion.
The service lasts about an hour and concludes with a song and a prayer.
We encourage our visitors to stick around for a few minutes so that we may get to know them better.
On Wednesday evenings, Bible classes are offered for all ages to open the Bible together and learn more about God.
